Diamond Blade Selection Guide
First off, if you know which blade you want, go ahead and order it directly from www.getyourtools.com.
But if you need a little help understanding why diamond blades are different, you’ve come to the right place.
There are three elements to consider when purchasing diamond blades. I have outlined the short version for you here; (Or, read my in-depth explanation below)
1) What are you cutting? Look in the category best suited for you such as concrete, masonry, tile or stone.
2) What kind of Saw are you using? Wet or Dry? How much Horse Power? What is the Arbor Size? When you are in the right category, you will be choosing from selections that match your criteria. You can choose between wet-cutting or dry-cutting to match your saw. And the tables are set up according to blade diameter, arbor size (such as 20mm) or nut size (such as 5/8” – 11), and HP rating. This makes it easy to locate your blade.
3) How often will you use this blade? This question helps where it matters, your budget. Economy Grade – Enough to get you through a few projects and still have lots of life left. Standard Grade – good blade for large remodels or light contractor use. Premium Grade – light contractor to every day user, good bang for the buck. Supreme grade – Heavy duty every day use blades built to last. Best value for those of us who demand dependability on a daily basis.
